Privacy Policy — EAMCET App
This Privacy Policy describes how Innowaft (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the EAMCET App mobile application (“App”) for Andhra Pradesh (AP) and Telangana (TS) EAMCET preparation. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Who we are

2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
When you create or use an account, we may collect:
• Mobile phone number — used for sign-in via one-time password (OTP).
• Profile details — such as name, username, gender, and state/region (AP or TS) that you choose during onboarding or in your profile.
• Profile photo — if you choose to upload one from your device.
• Contact and suggestion messages — subject/title and message text when you use “Contact us” or “Suggestion box” in the App.
• Quiz activity — including quiz attempts, answers, scores, and completion times, so we can show progress and results.
• Premium (Gold) status — when you subscribe or restore purchases, we receive and store subscription-related information needed to unlock premium content (see Section 5).
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you use the App, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
• Device and app information — such as device type, operating system version, app version, and general technical logs needed to run and secure the service.
• Usage and diagnostics — including crash reports and analytics events (for example, screens used and feature interactions) to improve stability and performance.
• Push notification token — if you allow notifications, we store a device push token and platform (iOS/Android) to send exam reminders and updates.
• Authentication tokens — access and refresh tokens stored securely on your device so you stay signed in.
We do not require you to provide more information than is reasonably needed to use the App’s features.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
• Provide and operate the App (sign-in, profile, practice quizzes, grand tests, results, and exam-related content for your selected region).
• Personalize content such as exam timelines, official updates, useful resources, and board links for AP or TS.
• Process and verify in-app purchases and manage Gold premium access.
• Send push notifications you have opted into (for example, exam reminders and important alerts).
• Respond to your contact messages and suggestions.
• Monitor, debug, and improve the App (including analytics and crash reporting).
• Protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Comply with applicable law and enforce our terms.
4. Permissions on your device
The App may request device permissions only when needed:
• Notifications — to deliver alerts you agree to receive.
• Photos / media library — only if you choose to set a profile picture.
• Camera or microphone — only if a feature you use requires them (as described in the App’s system permission prompts).
You can change or revoke many permissions in your device settings. Some features may not work if a required permission is denied.
5. Payments and subscriptions
Gold premium subscriptions are processed by Google Play (on Android) or Apple App Store (on iOS), not directly by us. Payment card and billing details are handled by the store provider under their privacy policy. We receive information such as purchase tokens, product identifiers, and subscription status so we can activate and restore premium access on your account.
6. Third-party services
We use trusted third parties to run the App, including but not limited to:
• Backend and cloud hosting — to store account, quiz, and content data.
• Google Firebase — for services such as analytics, crash reporting, and related infrastructure (where enabled in the App).
• Google Play / Apple — for app distribution and in-app purchases.
• Push notification services — (for example, Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android and Apple Push Notification service on iOS) to deliver notifications you allow.
These providers process data on our behalf according to their own terms and privacy policies. We encourage you to review:

When you open external links from the App (for example, official board websites, fee payment, hall ticket, or results pages), those sites are operated by third parties and are not covered by this policy.
7. Advertising identifier (Android)
On Android, the App may declare access to the advertising ID permission where required by Google Play policies or integrated SDKs. We use such identifiers only as permitted by law and platform rules—for example, for analytics or measurement—not to sell your personal information. You can limit ad personalization in your device’s Google settings.
8. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
• With service providers who help us operate the App (under confidentiality and data-processing obligations).
• When required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request.
• To protect the rights, safety, and security of users, Innowaft, or others.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice where required by law).
Community links in the App (such as WhatsApp or learner groups) are optional and governed by those platforms’ policies when you choose to join them.
9. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, including providing the App, meeting legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. When you delete your account through the App, we delete or anonymize your profile and associated data on our servers, subject to limited retention required by law or legitimate business needs (for example, billing records handled by app stores).
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and secure storage of session tokens on your device. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for students preparing for entrance exams. If you are under 18, use the App with a parent or guardian’s knowledge and consent where required by law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate parental consent. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
12. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, or to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
Within the App you can:
• Update your profile in account settings.
• Turn notifications on or off in device settings.
• Delete your account permanently from the Account screen — this removes your profile, quiz progress, and sign-in from our systems (cancel any active subscription separately in Google Play or the App Store).

13. International transfers
Your information may be processed on servers located outside your state or country (including India and other countries where our providers operate). We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards where required by applicable law.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy with a new “Last updated” date in the App or on our website. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
15. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local consumer protections apply.
